Our team at SGL are able to provide complete building design, from conception through to completion. We have experience working on both traditional and design and build contracts. Our engineers operate Nationwide providing on site services, inspections and structural surveys throughout the UK. Our design services are provided internationally. Areas Served We provide international design services throughout Europe and beyond. For on site services, our engineers operate within service zones A, B & C as indicated on our service area map below. Make an Enquiry Domestic and Commercial Surveys, Inspections & Site Support. Typically charged on an hourly rate. Large domestic and Commercial Surveys, Inspections & Site Support. Typically charged on a day rate. Zone C Commercial Surveys, Inspections & Site Support. By prior agreement only. Typically charged on a day rate. Zone B Zone A At Shepherd Gilmour, we provide design consultancy services to both the domestic and commercial sectors throughout the UK, Europe and beyond. We are experienced in designing structures to suit their respective environment, understanding the changes in requirements based on the local environment and its indended use and design life. Our engineers are primarily based in the North of England throughout Yorkshire and Greater Manchester. As such we offer structural surveys, inspections and construction supervision services to clients within Zones A and B. We also offer these services in Zones C and beyond subject to prior agreement.

< Back Building Ancillaries We specialise in quick turn around building ancillary design. Items typically include balconies, balustrades & curtain wall support systems. SGL provide design services for a wide range of building ancillaries. Some of these include: • Plant Deck Wind Screens • Roof Mounted Terraces & Halo Steelwork • Canopies • Balconies • Balustrades SGL have a wealth of experience supporting steelwork fabricators in particular in this sector of the industry. We have staff based throughout the North of England and we are able to visit our clients in person at their premises to discuss ongoing and/or potential works.
